Interview
Finally: A longevity expo to touch, try out – and get personally advised
Why does Germany need a live event for everyday people like you and me? Ayse and Claudia talk about their vision, personal turning points, and what visitors can expect in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich in 2027.
AI-generatedThree years ago I had a turning point in my life. A moment when I realised that health is not something you leave to the system. It is something you have to take into your own hands. I have been in the trade-fair business for twenty-five years and I love bringing people together. My co-founder Ayse Altindag-Übel felt similarly: for more than twenty years she has been a successful strategy consultant optimising companies. But at some point she also wanted to optimise her own health – and quickly noticed how little guidance there is. Together we realised that there is a massive gap in the German-speaking world: there are high-quality B2B longevity conferences for professionals, but there is no place where people like you and me can get started with prevention and healthy ageing in an accessible way. That is why we founded longevity.days 2027.
The misconception about longevity
Many people think longevity means reaching 120 or 150 years old. That is wrong. Longevity is not about lifespan, it is about health span. It is about being as healthy, energetic and independent as possible for as long as you live. In Germany we have a sickness system, not a health system. You get paid when you become ill. But how to stay healthy requires a lot of research and personal initiative. There are countless products online – but how do you judge their quality and benefit?
Our mission: personal responsibility for prevention
With longevity.days we want to inform, not lecture. We want to encourage people to take responsibility for their own health. We also want to show how far science has come – much further than most people realise. Today there are products and methods that are far better scientifically grounded than a few years ago. Ayse and I analysed the market together and developed the strategy for this expo. Our focus is to bring together a broad range of products, services and, above all, real experiences. Supplements, diagnostics, sports technology, stress management, longevity clinics – all in one place.
Why Fürstenfeldbruck – and not Munich?
A deliberate decision. Fürstenfeldbruck lies right at the gates of Munich – easy to reach by public transport and with plenty of parking. And the venue itself is something very special: a historic monastery surrounded by greenery, quiet, atmospheric and a perfect match for the topic. Longevity means slowing down, awareness, returning to the essentials. An exhibition hall in the city centre would be the wrong setting. We wanted a place that makes the topic physically tangible – and we have succeeded.
What to expect – a first overview

Small hacks, big impact
We want to be very clear: we don't prescribe anything. You don't have to do everything you learn at the expo. The point of longevity.days is to give you inspiration – small hacks you can integrate into your everyday life. These small changes can make a big difference. And we are sure you will find your personal hack at the expo.
Who is behind it?
Claudia Weidner has been in the trade-fair business for more than 25 years. She loves bringing people together, making knowledge accessible and creating live experiences that change something. For her, longevity is not a trend – it is a conviction she lives every day.
Ayse Altindag-Übel has been a strategy consultant for more than 20 years. She brings analytical depth, entrepreneurial thinking and a great passion for health and prevention. Together they form a team that doesn't just plan this event – they live it.
